Research and Evaluation Senior Officer

Role Overview

Evidence-based programming is the cornerstone of our mission, and this role carries the direct responsibility of managing high-quality research, assessments, and evaluations. You will be expected to drive the technical design of experimental and quasi-experimental studies, ensuring that data collection protocols are both scientifically rigorous and child-safe. This is an authoritative position focused on translating complex data into actionable learning products—such as policy briefs and journal articles—that influence organizational strategy and global evidence-informed decision-making. You will act as a technical mentor for internal teams, maintaining unyielding quality standards across our various thematic sectors including health, nutrition, and child protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the end-to-end lifecycle of research projects, ensuring timely delivery and strict budget adherence.
• Architect study methodologies, including sampling frames and recruitment strategies for diverse research designs.
• Oversee the development and implementation of survey tools, providing expert training to enumerator teams.
• Execute advanced statistical modeling and qualitative analysis using STATA and ATLAS.ti.
• Transform raw research findings into compelling knowledge products for policymakers and academic audiences.
• Lead the technical drafting of research proposals and pitches to secure new institutional partnerships and funding.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or Social Sciences.
• Proven expertise in statistical modeling using STATA software.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting large-scale research within the NGO sector.
• Expert-level report writing and the ability to synthesize complex data for diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Save the Children’s global Research, Evidence, and Learning Agenda is highly desirable.
