Remote Learning Teacher

Role Overview

The Remote Learning Teacher supports continuity of learning for children affected by climate-related school disruptions. The role focuses on delivering structured remote instruction, supporting caregivers, promoting child protection messaging, and facilitating learner reintegration once schools reopen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one remote learning sessions via phone
  • Assess learner progress and adapt lesson delivery
  • Support learners using IVR and digital learning tools
  • Conduct live virtual lessons to address learning gaps
  • Guide caregivers and learners on accessing digital learning platforms
  • Disseminate child protection and safety messages
  • Identify dropout and protection risks and support referrals
  • Collaborate with schools and community stakeholders
  • Document learning progress and protection concerns

Qualifications

  • TSC-registered P1 Teacher (English and Mathematics preferred)
  • Experience in teaching, coaching, or community facilitation
  • Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and referral pathways
  • Strong communication and time management skills
