Relationship Manager – Credit

Role Overview

This role oversees branch-level credit underwriting and portfolio quality, ensuring sound credit decisions, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across the loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee credit underwriting and chair the Branch Credit Committee
• Evaluate loan applications and assess creditworthiness and risk
• Approve or recommend credit decisions within delegated authority
• Monitor portfolio quality, PAR, and delinquency trends
• Prepare and present credit reports to branch and senior management
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures, and regulations
• Coordinate loan perfection processes with legal and head office teams
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and documentation
• Support relationship teams in improving portfolio performance
• Train and guide branch staff on credit policies and processes
• Act as liaison between branch and regional credit functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in banking or financial services
• At least 3 years’ experience in a credit administration role
• Strong credit risk management and underwriting expertise
• Solid understanding of lending strategies across multiple sectors
• Relevant banking or credit management certifications are an advantage
