Role Overview
The Quality Controller Officer will safeguard product integrity and consumer trust by managing quality checks, performing internal audits, and driving continuous process improvements. A key part of the role involves training production staff on best practices and new quality standards, contributing directly to production efficiency and ensuring the organization maintains full compliance with mandatory industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Compliance: Ensure that all production processes and finished products consistently meet rigorous company standards and regulatory requirements (ISO, KEBS, HACCP, GMP).
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed, highly accurate records of all quality control activities, including inspections, tests, procedures, and audit results.
- Auditing: Conduct internal audits (and potentially external audits) to meticulously verify the adherence of processes and products to established quality standards and regulations.
- Issue Resolution: Work collaboratively with production teams, engineering, and management to efficiently resolve quality issues and implement solutions to improve overall process efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives based on quality data and audit findings to support sustained operational excellence.
- Training: Train and mentor production staff and quality control personnel on correct quality control procedures, relevant best practices, and new quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Contribute to printing safety compliance, particularly crucial within a manufacturing/printing environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A Diploma or Degree in Quality Assurance (QA), Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of verifiable experience in Quality Assurance/Control, ideally within a production, printing, or general manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong, applied knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, KEBS regulations, and relevant safety standards.
- Competencies: High attention to detail, a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
