Quality Assurance and Lead Mentor
Role Overview
Nairobi Waldorf School requires a Quality Assurance and Lead Mentor to join our leadership team. This position is strictly focused on the evaluation of pedagogical processes and the continuous coaching of the faculty to maintain Steiner-Waldorf standards. The role involves conducting appraisals, managing student assessments, and acting as a bridge between the administration and the classroom. All duties must be performed with a thorough understanding of Anthroposophy to ensure that the school’s educational delivery remains developmentally appropriate and mission-aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct systematic teacher appraisals and student assessments to ensure high educational quality.
- Mentor and coach teachers through direct classroom observation and professional dialogue.
- Co-lead faculty meetings and design on-boarding processes for new Steiner-Waldorf educators.
- Partner with parents and caregivers to foster a supportive and informed educational community.
- Work closely with the leadership team to implement and improve evaluative processes across all classes.
- Ensure that the school’s pedagogical systems comply with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master’s in Education Administration is an added advantage).
- Mandatory registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Ideally, has taken a class through the Steiner-Waldorf cycle (Class 1 to Class 8) at least twice.
- Strong grounding in child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
