Internship Overview
The Project Management/Consulting Intern will provide support across project planning, implementation, monitoring, business development, and stakeholder engagement. This role is ideal for a graduate or postgraduate seeking hands-on experience in project management and consulting within the NGO and sustainable development sector.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Support
Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring project activities.
Support preparation of work plans, progress reports, and presentations.
Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track follow-up actions.
Help organize field visits, workshops, and training sessions.
Administrative & Logistical Support
Maintain project files, contracts, and reports (electronic and hard copies).
Assist with procurement processes and ensure proper documentation.
Support travel logistics (transport, accommodation) for project teams.
Research & Data Management
Compile background information on project sectors and themes.
Support data collection, entry, and analysis for project monitoring.
Conduct literature reviews and research for business development.
Financial & Budget Tracking
Support financial documentation, including invoice processing.
Assist in tracking expenditures and monitoring budget compliance.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Draft communication materials, reports, and presentations.
Support correspondence with clients, donors, and partners.
Document lessons learned and share best practices.
Proposal & Business Development Support
Contribute to proposal development (CV formatting, document collation).
Research funding opportunities and donor requirements.
Support intelligence gathering for business development initiatives.
Qualifications & Competencies
MSc degree (finalized or ongoing) in agriculture, sciences, engineering, humanities, or related disciplines.
Experience in proposal writing and business development.
Strong organizational, research, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and support diverse project activities.
