Job Description

The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day production operations to ensure maximum output and plant optimization. This role involves supervising a team of machine operators, coordinating changeovers, and ensuring that all products meet strict quality specifications. The supervisor acts as a key figure in enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), managing workplace health and safety (OSHA), and driving continuous improvement through effective line balancing and employee coaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth production operations and workstation assignments during the shift.
• Train, coach, and conduct performance reviews for production line employees.
• Coordinate production start-ups, shutdowns, and product changeovers efficiently.
• Monitor quality control to ensure all products are manufactured within set specifications.
• Stop the processing of non-conforming products and initiate necessary process changes.
• Prepare and submit timely production and worker attendance reports.
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and OSHA safety standards.
• Manage production line balancing to optimize employee skills and plant output.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, OSHA, and Production Process Control.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
