📝 Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review internal audit charter, strategies, policies, procedures, and annual work plans.
- Draft and implement risk-based audit plans and audit programs.
- Identify and profile operational, financial, and compliance risks.
- Conduct audit tests on internal controls in accounting, administration, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IPPF standards, the PFM Act, and applicable public sector regulations.
- Prepare audit reports for management and audit committees.
- Follow up on implementation of internal and external audit recommendations.
- Deploy computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) to enhance audit efficiency.
- Support external auditors and coordinate audit engagements.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of audit documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Cumulative nine (9) years’ relevant experience, three (3) of which must be at senior management level.
- CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Membership in ICPAK and IIA in good standing.
- Certificate in Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
- Proficiency in computer applications and CAATs.
- Strong knowledge of IPPF, PFM Act, risk-based auditing, and public sector compliance.
