📝 Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review internal audit charter, strategies, policies, procedures, and annual work plans.
• Draft and implement risk-based audit plans and audit programs.
• Identify and profile operational, financial, and compliance risks.
• Conduct audit tests on internal controls in accounting, administration, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IPPF standards, the PFM Act, and applicable public sector regulations.
• Prepare audit reports for management and audit committees.
• Follow up on implementation of internal and external audit recommendations.
• Deploy computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) to enhance audit efficiency.
• Support external auditors and coordinate audit engagements.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of audit documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Cumulative nine (9) years’ relevant experience, three (3) of which must be at senior management level.
• CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Membership in ICPAK and IIA in good standing.
• Certificate in Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
• Proficiency in computer applications and CAATs.
• Strong knowledge of IPPF, PFM Act, risk-based auditing, and public sector compliance.
