Job Description
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Power Platform Administrator to manage and maintain the Power Platform environments in Nairobi (iHub). This key NGO tech job in Kenya requires 3–6 years of experience administering Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages) and a solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure Entra ID, and Dataverse. The Administrator will be responsible for implementing governance policies (DLP, data protection), supervising platform usage, supporting citizen developers, and ensuring security and compliance across connectors and data sources.

Role Overview
The Power Platform Administrator will lead the technical governance of the platform, managing environments (Dev, Test, Prod) and collaborating with IT teams to enforce policies like Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and platform configurations. Key responsibilities include monitoring licensing and capacity, supporting citizen developers (makers), handling permissions/access controls, and promoting successful apps for reuse and scaling across the organization while ensuring security compliance, particularly for external-facing Power Pages.
Major Responsibilities
- Platform Administration: Administer and maintain all Power Platform environments, including Development, Test, and Production instances.
- Governance & Policy: Implement and execute robust governance policies, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data protection, platform configurations, naming conventions, and application lifecycle management.
- Usage & Capacity: Supervise and advise on platform usage, licensing requirements, performance, and capacity across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure strict security and compliance across connectors, data sources, and external-facing Power Pages; perform environmental audits and clean up unused items.
- Developer Support: Support citizen developers (makers) and business users by troubleshooting issues and promoting standard processes, encouraging a culture of innovation.
- Access Control: Handle all permissions, roles, and access controls within assigned environments.
- Documentation & Scaling: Create and maintain platform documentation and promote successful apps and flows for reuse and scaling across departments.
Work Experience and Certifications
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience administering Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages).
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure Entra ID, and Dataverse.
- Governance: Experience implementing governance frameworks and CoE (Center of Excellence) models.
- Certifications (Highly Valued):
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
- Skills: Superb communication and teamwork skills; experience supporting citizen developers.
