Role Overview

Village Enterprise is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Enumerators to support data collection and program evaluation activities in Dadaab, Kenya. This role is essential in ensuring accurate monitoring and evaluation of Village Enterprise’s programs by gathering reliable field data and maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection

• Conduct accurate data collection at baseline, midline, and endline stages.

• Ensure timely uploading and synchronization of all collected data.

• Provide weekly reports on challenges and findings during fieldwork.

• Share best practices and observations from the field for program improvement.

Spot Checks & Monitoring

• Carry out Business Savings Group (BSG) and enterprise spot-checks as allocated by the M&E team.

• Prepare monthly field reports with verified information.

Data Entry & Reporting

• Enter data accurately into program systems, ensuring completeness and reliability.

• Submit all data promptly to the M&E team for analysis.

Community Liaison

• Represent Village Enterprise professionally at all times when engaging with community members or government officials.

• Clearly explain the organization’s work and the purpose of data collection to stakeholders.

Safeguarding

• Sensitize program participants about risks related to exploitation and abuse.

• Adhere to Village Enterprise’s Safeguarding Policies and Code of Conduct.

• Report any safeguarding incidents promptly for action and follow-up.

Qualifications & Competencies

Academic Background

• Minimum of a Diploma in any discipline, with prior exposure or experience in research or data collection.

Skills & Experience

• Understanding of key data quality elements: accuracy, completeness, timeliness, validity.

• Proficiency in Android-based data collection tools and applications.

• Strong communication skills to interact with community members and team members.

• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

• High integrity, with zero tolerance for falsified or manipulated data.
