Paediatric Hemato-Oncologist
Role Overview
This position delivers specialised cancer and blood disorder care for children. The role requires precision in clinical decision-making, strong coordination with care teams, and consistent engagement with families throughout treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage paediatric haematological and oncological conditions
- Design and implement age-appropriate treatment plans
- Coordinate closely with nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, and specialist teams
- Monitor response to treatment and manage side effects or complications
- Communicate clearly with caregivers on care plans and progress
- Maintain high clinical documentation and governance standards
Qualifications
- MBChB from a recognized institution
- MMed in Paediatrics and Child Health with sub-specialization in Haematology-Oncology or equivalent
- Registration and valid practicing licence with KMPDC
- At least 1 year relevant post-qualification experience is an advantage
- Proven competence in paediatric haematology-oncology care
