Role Overview

This role manages trauma and elective orthopaedic cases in a busy referral setting. The work requires surgical precision, structured postoperative care, and collaboration across emergency and inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform orthopaedic diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures
• Manage trauma and elective cases from admission to discharge
• Participate in emergency call schedules and multidisciplinary care
• Guide junior clinicians and support training activities
• Ensure compliance with surgical safety and documentation standards

Qualifications

• MBChB from a recognized institution
• MMed in Orthopaedic Surgery or equivalent
• Registration and valid practicing licence with KMPDC
• At least 1 year post-qualification orthopaedic experience is an advantage
• Demonstrated surgical competence
• Professional indemnity cover
• Computer application proficiency
