Neurosurgeon
Role Overview
This position delivers specialised neurosurgical care for complex neurological conditions. The role demands strong surgical judgement, adherence to safety protocols, and coordinated care across critical support units.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage neurosurgical conditions
- Perform neurosurgical procedures to approved standards
- Participate in emergency neurosurgical services and on-call rotas
- Work closely with ICU, anaesthesia, radiology, and nursing teams
- Maintain comprehensive surgical and clinical documentation
- Support mentorship, training, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- MBChB from a recognized institution
- MMed in Neurosurgery or equivalent
- Registration and valid practicing licence with KMPDC
- At least 1 year post-qualification neurosurgery experience is an advantage
- Demonstrated competence in neurosurgical procedures
- Professional indemnity cover
- Computer application proficiency
