Named Account Manager (Public Sector)

Role Overview

This role drives revenue growth and strategic account development within Kenya’s public sector by positioning Fortinet’s cybersecurity and networking solutions at enterprise scale. The Named Account Manager acts as the primary interface between public sector clients and Fortinet, combining deep relationship management with consultative selling and strategic planning. Success in this role requires strong public sector sales expertise, executive engagement skills, and the ability to orchestrate internal resources to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions aligned to government and institutional priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow public sector accounts across Kenya
  • Lead new business development and enterprise-level sales engagements
  • Build relationships with decision-makers up to C-suite and senior government officials
  • Create and execute strategic account and territory plans
  • Position Fortinet solutions through consultative selling approaches
  • Coordinate internal teams including systems engineers and channel partners
  • Drive quarterly business reviews and long-term account growth
  • Maintain pipeline accuracy and consistent quota achievement
  • Keep clients informed on product roadmaps and cybersecurity trends

Qualifications

  • Proven enterprise sales experience in technology, cybersecurity, or networking
  • Experience selling into the Kenyan public sector
  • Strong track record of quota achievement
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Highly driven, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional
