MMD Officer

Role Overview

The MMD Officer supports hospital medical stores operations by managing inventory, ensuring timely availability of medical supplies, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards to support uninterrupted clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, store, and issue medical supplies and consumables
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock reports
• Monitor stock levels, expiries, and reorder points
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and clinical teams
• Support stock counts and audit processes
• Ensure proper handling and storage of medical items
• Report supply chain challenges to the supervisor
• Promote cost efficiency and accountability within the department

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
• CIPS certification or progress toward certification (added advantage)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical stores or healthcare supply chain
• Knowledge of medical consumables and hospital logistics
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/inventory systems
