Role Overview
The Modern Foreign Language Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to students within the framework of the British Curriculum. Key duties involve managing the classroom environment, adhering to the curriculum standards, actively contributing to the school’s teaching ethos, and maintaining all required professional registration standards set by the Kenyan government.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality instruction in the specialized subject area (Modern Foreign Language) in accordance with the British Curriculum.
- Curriculum Adherence: Ensure all teaching and learning materials and methods strictly align with the requirements of the British Curriculum.
- Professional Compliance: Maintain mandatory Registration by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Student Assessment: Conduct continuous assessment and evaluation of student progress in line with international school standards.
- School Contribution: Actively participate in the broader academic and co-curricular life of the school.
- Classroom Management: Manage the classroom environment to promote effective learning and student discipline.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Teaching qualification of B.Ed or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)/ Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- Curriculum Experience: Proven Experience delivering the British Curriculum.
- Registration: Mandatory Registered by Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
