Lecturer – Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering / Mineral Processing)
Role Overview
This position is ideal for a scholar-practitioner with strong academic grounding and research orientation. As Lecturer in Engineering, you will contribute to teaching excellence, applied research, and curriculum development in Geotechnical Engineering and/or Mineral Processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the area of specialization
- Develop teaching materials and coordinate practical sessions and projects
- Set, invigilate, and mark examinations and coursework
- Conduct research and publish in refereed journals
- Supervise student projects and prepare progress reports
- Develop research proposals and seek external funding
Qualifications & Experience
- PhD in Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering or Mineral Processing)
- At least 3 years’ university teaching, research, or relevant industry experience
- Minimum of 24 publication points, with at least 16 from refereed journals
- Registration with relevant professional body (where applicable)
- Demonstrated potential for teaching and research excellence
