Lecturer – Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering / Mineral Processing)

Role Overview

This position is ideal for a scholar-practitioner with strong academic grounding and research orientation. As Lecturer in Engineering, you will contribute to teaching excellence, applied research, and curriculum development in Geotechnical Engineering and/or Mineral Processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the area of specialization
• Develop teaching materials and coordinate practical sessions and projects
• Set, invigilate, and mark examinations and coursework
• Conduct research and publish in refereed journals
• Supervise student projects and prepare progress reports
• Develop research proposals and seek external funding

Qualifications & Experience

• PhD in Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering or Mineral Processing)
• At least 3 years’ university teaching, research, or relevant industry experience
• Minimum of 24 publication points, with at least 16 from refereed journals
• Registration with relevant professional body (where applicable)
• Demonstrated potential for teaching and research excellence
