Role Overview
The Lead Lawyer – Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) will oversee legal operations, compliance, and commercial agreements across regional markets. The role supports Glovo’s growth and ensures adherence to international regulations and corporate governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all legal functions for SSA and provide strategic legal advice.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
- Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements in all SSA jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external counsel.
- Lead due diligence and risk analysis for new projects.
- Support governance policies and special legal initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of legal experience, with 3+ in corporate or commercial law.
- Expertise in consumer, labor, and competition law.
- Experience in multinational or Big 4 law environments.
- Fluency in English, Arabic, and French.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
