Role Overview
The Junior Clerk – CSE will manage both inbound and outbound communication (calls, emails, walk-ins) with patients, focusing on efficient appointment management. Key responsibilities include coordinating with clinical departments (nursing, pharmacy, lab) for seamless patient flow, supporting complex administrative tasks like insurance processing and TPA coordination, and ensuring timely issue resolution to maintain high patient satisfaction levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction & Support: Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and walk-in queries from patients and families professionally.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and accurately confirm patient appointments, tests, and procedures.
- Information & Registration: Provide clear information on hospital/clinic services and doctors’ availability; assist patients in completing registration, admission, discharge, and documentation.
- Service Coordination: Coordinate effectively with departments (nursing, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, billing) to ensure seamless, efficient patient flow.
- Administrative Follow-up: Follow up on pending reports, prescriptions, authorizations, and medical records.
- Insurance Support: Support insurance processing, TPA (Third Party Administrator) coordination, and pre-authorization requests where applicable.
- Issue Resolution: Address patient complaints and service-related concerns promptly and professionally; escalate critical or unresolved issues to the supervisor.
