Investment Accountant
Role Overview
The Investment Accountant is responsible for supporting accurate financial management of investment entities through capital activity tracking, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance. The role requires strong attention to detail and hands-on experience with investment accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cash calls and distribution calculations using investment accounting systems
- Generate and issue cash call and distribution notices to stakeholders
- Reconcile capital balances between investment platforms and the general ledger
- Post journal entries and prepare financial statements for investment entities
- Process monthly profit and loss rollups within investment accounting modules
- Maintain entity-level waterfall models to support promote and distribution calculations
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounting, investment accounting, finance, or administration
- Hands-on experience with investment accounting systems such as Investran or Geneva
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in real estate investment accounting is preferred
- Understanding of GAAP or IFRS investment reporting principles is an advantage
- Knowledge of U.S. investment laws is a plus
