Role Overview
The intern will assist the Crimes that Affect the Environment (CAE) team in research, content preparation, data management, and communication related to environmental crime prevention and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on transnational environmental crimes and illicit mineral trade.
- Draft concept notes, fact sheets, and background reports.
- Support data organization, analysis, and quality assurance.
- Assist in preparing media content, social media posts, and promotional materials.
- Participate in virtual and physical team meetings, taking notes and summarizing actions.
- Proofread and edit reports to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Qualifications & Experience
- Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Environmental Science, or International Relations.
- Strong research, writing, and data organization skills.
- Excellent command of English; other UN languages are a plus.
- Familiarity with environmental governance and sustainable development frameworks.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of the United Nations.
