Job Description

The ICT Coordinator is responsible for the strategic oversight and day-to-day management of the school’s digital infrastructure. This dual-faceted role involves maintaining a robust technical environment—including network security, hardware maintenance, and software compliance—while actively delivering ICT and coding instruction to students. The Coordinator ensures that the computer lab operates efficiently and that teachers are supported in integrating innovative technology into the broader curriculum to enhance the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the installation, maintenance, and optimization of ICT hardware, including smart boards, routers, and workstations
• Oversee school-wide internet connectivity and implement rigorous data security, backup, and antivirus protocols
• Administer computer lab schedules and enforce digital safety and acceptable use policies for all users
• Provide technical troubleshooting and repair for hardware and software issues to minimize classroom downtime
• Deliver ICT and coding lessons, developing lesson plans for subjects like Python, HTML, and robotics
• Prepare and mentor students for participation in coding and robotics competitions
• Lead the implementation of the school’s digital learning strategy and recommend emerging educational tools
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all ICT assets and ensure full compliance with software licensing

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ICT support, network management, or coordination
• Technical proficiency in Python, HTML, Pictoblox, and robotics
• Demonstrated experience managing computer labs and school networks
• Teaching qualification or relevant ICT certifications are considered a significant advantage
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity measures and data protection standards
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into age-appropriate educational content
