Role Overview

The IAM Engineer will provide technical guidance on the automation of the user account and identity lifecycle, participating in projects focused on implementing and integrating IAM and RBAC strategies. Key duties include collaborating on IAM technology design, managing directory account permissions via RBAC, supporting the roadmap for Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-on (SSO), troubleshooting security issues across various operating systems, and ensuring all evidence of authorization is engineered for documentation in accordance with internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Automation: Provide guidance on the automation of user account and identity lifecycle management (provisioning, securing, inactivation); collaborate on the design, implementation, and support of IAM technologies.
• RBAC Implementation: Participate in projects focused on implementing and integrating Roles Based Access Control (RBAC) strategies; manage directory account permissions via RBAC.
• Compliance & Audit: Enforce organizational policies to ensure only authorized personnel have access (Minimum Necessary Rules); participate in ongoing auditing and risk assessments, ensuring alignment with ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS standards.
• Security Technologies: Support the roadmap on optimization and enrolment of Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-on (SSO), Biometric devices, and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot security and workflow issues independently or collaboratively across various operating systems (Windows, Linux, MAC) and technology stacks (Databases, Middleware).
• Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation on standard operating procedures, system configurations, and technical settings for internal team use.
• Efficiency: Assist in efficiency improvements by recommending process changes and developing solutions to automate and orchestrate repeatable IAM tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years relevant work and software experience (Active Directory, Microsoft O365, ServiceNow, or IAM applications).
• Education: A Degree or equivalent in IT, Information Security, Network Security, or a similar area of study.
• IAM Expertise: Excellent understanding of IAM technology (CyberArk, SailPoint, Okta, Active Directory, Entra ID) and SSO, SAML, Auth 2.0.
• Certification (Advantage): Relevant certifications like CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISM, or IAM OEM certifications.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS certification; experience identifying and managing technology security risk around identities and entitlements.
