HR Intern Vacancy – Amboseli and Maasai Mara
Role Overview
Hotel HR is practical work: staffing gaps show up on the floor, not in reports. This internship supports day-to-day HR operations across recruitment, records, training coordination, and staff support, while learning how compliance and service culture are maintained in hospitality settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Post vacancies on hospitality job boards and social media
- Screen CVs for roles such as waitstaff, housekeeping, and front office
- Schedule interviews between department heads and shortlisted candidates
- Support new-hire hotel induction, including grooming standards and service culture
- Maintain accurate staff files (physical and digital) for contracts, IDs, and certifications
- Track leave schedules (annual, sick, maternity) and flag staffing risks early
- Manage uniform and ID badge issuance and returns
- Help organize training sessions and keep attendance records for mandatory meetings
- Support staff events, ceremonies, and team-building activities
- Handle staff queries on basic policy or payroll topics and escalate to the HR Manager when needed
- Assist with other allocated HR and administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Clear communication and good emotional intelligence
- Adaptable, discreet, and able to handle confidential information with integrity
