HR Assistant — ManPower Services (Nairobi)

ManPower Services is seeking an HR Assistant to provide administrative support to the Human Resources department in Nairobi. This entry-level HR job in Kenya requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, Higher Diploma in HR, CHRP or a related field, with 1–3 years of experience in an HR role preferred. The Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, including recruitment support, managing staff records (leave and attendance), assisting in audits, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

Role Overview

The HR Assistant handles core transactional and administrative HR tasks. Key duties include assisting with recruitment logistics (posting jobs, scheduling interviews), managing daily staff records (leave, attendance, absence), providing necessary documentation for internal/external audits, responding promptly to internal HR inquiries, and utilizing proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) while upholding strict confidentiality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Support: Assist with posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Employee Lifecycle: Assist in onboarding new employees and managing employee separations.
  • Records Management: Maintain employee records and HR reports; Manage Leave and staff attendance & absence records.
  • Compliance & Audits: Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation; help ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Internal Communication: Respond promptly to internal HR enquiries.
  • Administrative Duties: Support administrative duties and utilize proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a HR role is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, Higher Diploma in HR, CHRP or related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills; Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
