Role Overview
The primary hurdle in engineering and electrical solutions firms is maintaining a compliant and agile workforce across diverse regional projects. We are looking for an HR Assistant to solve the problem of administrative bottlenecks by streamlining our recruitment coordination and payroll input processes. Your role is to bridge the gap between high-level policy implementation and daily employee queries, ensuring that our records in East and Central Africa remain accurate and audit-ready. By managing leave administration and attendance tracking with precision, you will resolve operational friction and allow our engineering teams to focus on delivering power and renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve recruitment delays by coordinating interview schedules and managing the onboarding lifecycle for new hires.
- Eliminate data inaccuracies by maintaining comprehensive and secure digital employee records.
- Solve payroll complexities by verifying monthly inputs, leave data, and attendance tracking.
- Support the implementation of HR policies to ensure the organization remains fully compliant with Kenyan labor laws.
- Facilitate professional growth by coordinating training sessions and organizing performance review cycles.
- Act as the first point of contact for staff queries, resolving routine administrative issues with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.
- 2 to 4 years of experience as an HR generalist or administrative assistant.
- Solid understanding of Kenyan employment law and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly.
- Proficiency in modern HRIS systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
