Hospital Administrator

Role Overview

This role oversees non-clinical hospital operations, ensuring smooth administration, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination of patient support services within a healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative and operational activities
  • Supervise non-clinical staff including front office and support teams
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health regulations and safety standards
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate facility schedules, appointments, and patient services
  • Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information securely
  • Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Health Systems Management, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Degree qualification is an added advantage
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospital or healthcare administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital management systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Ministry of Health licensing and SHA processes
  • Medical or clinical background is an added advantage
