Health & Safety Officer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Identify hazards and implement effective risk control measures.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Prepare safety reports, documentation, and incident investigation reports.
- Deliver staff training on safety procedures and emergency response.
- Monitor corrective action plans to improve safety standards.
- Support first aid and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (minimum requirement).
- OSHA certification and other recognized safety certifications are an added advantage.
- 1–3+ years’ experience in inspections, audits, and incident reporting.
- Strong hazard identification, compliance monitoring, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
