Job Description
Health Facility Assessment Interviewers are responsible for the systematic collection of healthcare-related data through field interviews and facility evaluations. This role is essential for gathering accurate ground-level information that informs public health research and policy. Interviewers act as the primary link between the research project and health facility staff, ensuring that data collection is conducted ethically, professionally, and in strict adherence to established research protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled training sessions, pilot studies, and project debrief meetings
- Obtain informed consent from all participants before commencing data collection activities
- Conduct professional interviews with health facility personnel using digital data collection tools
- Verify the accuracy of collected data and submit completed assessments via the designated electronic platforms
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all sensitive health-related information
- Report any field challenges or data inconsistencies to the supervisor in a timely manner
- Ensure that all digital devices used for data collection are properly maintained and secured
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in field data collection or conducting professional interviews
- Proficiency in using digital data collection applications (such as ODK, KoboToolbox, or SurveyCTO)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate professional health facility environments
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
