Head Chef
Role Overview
This role leads culinary operations across multiple catering units, balancing creativity, consistency, and operational control. The focus is on menu innovation, food quality, hygiene compliance, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all food preparation and kitchen operations
- Oversee multiple culinary units and service points
- Develop menus, recipes, and event-specific offerings
- Manage kitchen teams including Sous Chefs, cooks, and trainees
- Implement and monitor kitchen SOPs for quality and profitability
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Coordinate training programs to improve team performance
- Oversee kitchen inventory and collaborate with procurement teams
- Report on culinary operations and performance to senior management
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or Hospitality Management
- Proven experience in a senior culinary leadership role
- Strong ability to manage multiple teams and operations
- Deep knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and during events
