Role Overview

The Grant Accountant will oversee donor financial compliance, reporting, and risk mitigation for assigned grants, ensuring efficient fund management and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial management and reporting for donor-funded projects.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Facilitate timely vendor payments and staff advances reconciliation.
• Review procurement requests for budget compliance.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and accruals.
• Support grant audits and ensure implementation of recommendations.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics.
• CPA Section 4 or higher required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in financial management or grant accounting.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Excel and preferably SUN Systems Accounting Software.
• Excellent communication, integrity, and analytical skills.
