Role Overview
The Grant Accountant will oversee donor financial compliance, reporting, and risk mitigation for assigned grants, ensuring efficient fund management and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial management and reporting for donor-funded projects.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Facilitate timely vendor payments and staff advances reconciliation.
- Review procurement requests for budget compliance.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and accruals.
- Support grant audits and ensure implementation of recommendations.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics.
- CPA Section 4 or higher required.
- At least 2 years’ experience in financial management or grant accounting.
- Strong knowledge of donor compliance and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Excel and preferably SUN Systems Accounting Software.
- Excellent communication, integrity, and analytical skills.
