Role Overview
Are you an expert in hospitality who understands that the first five minutes of a guest’s stay define their entire experience? We are looking for a professional Front Office Agent to join our team at Fairmont, where you’ll be the face of our luxury brand. You’ll spend your shift managing the delicate balance of efficient check-ins, meticulous cashiering, and proactive guest engagement. If you enjoy the challenge of turning a routine stay into a memorable experience and have a knack for upselling room categories while maintaining 5-star standards, your interpersonal flair will be central to our hotel’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- You will lead the guest experience from arrival to departure, ensuring every Fairmont Brand Standard is met with precision.
- You’ll be the primary point of contact for guest preferences, communicating needs to all relevant departments for seamless service.
- Your day-to-day includes managing the front desk float and accurately processing cash, credit cards, and direct billing.
- You will handle the settlement of guest accounts and ensure all adjustments are correctly posted to the ledger.
- You’ll act as a guardian of guest safety by following strict protocols for key release and information privacy.
- You will drive financial growth by identifying opportunities to upsell room categories during the reservation and check-in process.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar front office role within a 5-star hotel environment.
- Technical proficiency in the Opera Property Management System (PMS).
- High level of integrity, particularly regarding cash handling and confidential guest data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide professional local recommendations.
