Role Overview
Greenpeace Africa seeks a passionate Forests & Biodiversity Campaigner to lead advocacy and project implementation aimed at protecting Africa’s forest ecosystems. The role involves strategic planning, partnership building, and public engagement to advance the organization’s biodiversity agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute forest and biodiversity campaign strategies.
- Manage project planning, implementation, and reporting in line with campaign goals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver advocacy, media, and research outputs.
- Build relationships with government, NGOs, and community leaders.
- Produce reports, briefings, and public information materials.
- Represent Greenpeace Africa at national and international forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or related field.
- Experience in campaigning, advocacy, or project management.
- Strong understanding of African biodiversity and policy landscapes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Portuguese is an added advantage.
