Eagle HR Consultants is seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor for its client in Nairobi. You will be responsible for managing all food and beverage outlets with a hands-on approach, ensuring that service teams deliver high-quality hospitality that meets customer expectations and encourages repeat business.

Role Overview

The Supervisor oversees daily operations in the absence of the F&B Manager, including inspections of service areas, staff discipline, and training. You will manage stock taking, monitor profitability, ensure all necessary licenses are renewed, and collaborate with the kitchen and events teams to ensure smooth service delivery for both casual dining and banquets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage outlets (bars, restaurants, catering) to achieve qualitative and quantitative goals.
  • Set SOPs, determine assignments, and ensure staff meet performance and appearance standards.
  • Monitor profitability, manage expenditures, and participate in monthly bar and store stock taking.
  • Carry out daily inspections for equipment maintenance and ensure the service team has necessary tools.
  • Prepare duty rosters, work schedules, and conduct annual performance appraisals.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Degree in Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 3 years in Food and Beverage, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Conversant with cost control reports, POS systems, and stock control.
  • Mastery in delegating tasks and excellent problem-solving abilities.
