Yellow Pages Kenya is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to strengthen finance operations and support ambitious regional growth plans in Nairobi. This critical multinational finance job in Kenya requires a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification and 3–4 years’ experience in a finance management role, ideally with exposure to group accounting and multinational operations. The Manager will oversee and manage group accounting, lead budgeting/forecasting, ensure compliance with statutory requirements across multiple African markets, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Role Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial integrity and strategic planning for the group across its operational countries. Key duties include supervising a remote team of four finance professionals across different markets, leading the core budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes, ensuring strict compliance with local Revenue Authorities, managing the full audit cycle, and preparing accurate management reports for the COO and leadership team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Group Accounting & Reporting: Oversee and manage group accounting and meticulous financial reporting across Kenya, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development and execution of annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and effective cash flow management processes.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor a remote team of four finance professionals located in different countries of operation.
  • Statutory Compliance & Liaison: Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements and serve as the primary liaison with Revenue Authorities in each country of operation.
  • Audit Management: Manage the full audit processes, coordinating effectively with internal and external auditors.
  • Payroll Oversight: Oversee payroll accounting, statutory payments, and the integrity of internal financial controls.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting accuracy, and optimize the use of ERP/accounting systems (Primavera BSS experience is a plus).
  • Management Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate management reports for the COO and the leadership team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is mandatory.
  • Experience: 3–4 years’ experience in a finance management role.
  • Multinational Exposure: Proven exposure to group accounting and multinational operations. Experience in the HR, outsourcing, or agency sector is a strong plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Kenyan statutory requirements (experience with other African markets is an advantage); excellent leadership, analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in English.
  • Competencies: Proven ability to manage remote teams and work effectively across diverse cultures.
