Deputy Director, Reserves Management
Job Overview
This role supports the Director, Financial Markets in managing Kenya’s foreign exchange reserves, portfolio risk, compliance, and investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Forex Reserves Investment Committee decisions
- Oversee investment of reserves in approved instruments
- Manage portfolio risk, compliance, and performance attribution
- Lead strategic asset allocation reviews
- Ensure adherence to forex investment policies and guidelines
- Conduct due diligence and KYC for counterparties
- Mentor and lead professional teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, or related field
- Master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage
- Minimum 12 years’ experience (3 at managerial level)
- Strong background in treasury, investment, or financial markets
- International financial markets exposure is an added advantage
