Community Health Officers — Stratostaff (Nairobi)
Direct supervision of community-based health interventions in Gatundu Sub-County is the primary focus of this clinical outreach position. You will execute professional health services by bridging the gap between Gatundu households and formal medical facilities.
Role Overview
The Community Health Officer is responsible for implementing preventive healthcare measures and strengthening public health systems at the grassroots level. This involves rigorous data management and the coordination of health education programs to improve local maternal and child health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute health education sessions focusing on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Conduct systematic household visits to assess local health needs and monitor treatment adherence.
- Facilitate the referral of patients to designated medical facilities and ensure consistent follow-up care.
- Manage the collection and submission of community health data using official MOH registers.
- Liaise with Community Health Committees and county officials to synchronize service delivery efforts.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Community Health from a recognized training institution.
- Valid registration as a Community Health Practitioner in good standing.
- Two years of field experience, with specific familiarity with Kiambu County being a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in computer applications and accurate technical reporting.
