Carpenter (Bespoke Furniture & Interiors)
Role Overview
This role is centered on high-precision craftsmanship rather than mass production. The Carpenter will work end-to-end on custom furniture and interior installations, transforming raw timber into finished, site-ready pieces for premium residential and commercial interiors. The position demands technical accuracy, strong material knowledge, and the ability to execute complex joinery and installations where tolerances are tight and finishes are client-facing. Work is split between workshop fabrication and on-site installation, requiring adaptability to varied design briefs and site conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate bespoke furniture and architectural interior fittings from technical drawings
- Interpret CAD and detailed shop drawings into accurate physical components
- Execute high-quality joinery including traditional and modern techniques
- Prepare, mill, and match timber species for structural integrity and visual consistency
- Lead on-site installation of fitted furniture with precise alignment and finishing
- Coordinate finishing stages to ensure surface quality meets design intent
- Identify and resolve fabrication or installation challenges without compromising quality
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient use of workshop machinery and hand tools
- Strong ability to read and execute from technical drawings
- High attention to detail with strong spatial awareness
- Practical problem-solving skills during fabrication and installation
