Business Development Officer, Corporate New Business
Role Overview
Corporate medical insurance growth does not happen by accident. It is built through persistence, sharp market reading, and the ability to convert boardroom conversations into signed contracts. This role sits at the centre of that effort.
Key Responsibilities
- Open new corporate medical insurance accounts through structured prospecting and relationship-building
- Map client needs and convert them into workable insurance solutions
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender responses with internal technical teams
- Lead presentations and negotiations with corporate decision-makers
- Convert qualified leads into issued policies that meet premium targets
- Coordinate contract finalisation with Legal, Compliance, and Underwriting teams
- Maintain accurate sales documentation and handover files for retention teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline
- Insurance professional qualification
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in corporate or medical insurance sales
- Proven ability to respond to RFPs and negotiate high-value accounts
- Strong planning, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
