Bar Attendant Job in Kenya – Hospitality Opportunity

Eagle HR Consultants is recruiting a Bar Attendant for a client in Nairobi. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks to guests, ensuring they receive a high-quality experience. The position requires someone who is knowledgeable about beverages and can maintain a professional appearance while working under pressure during busy shifts.

Role Overview

The Bar Attendant prepares ordered drinks, manages the cash register, and ensures the station is always stocked with necessary supplies. You will be expected to work in collaboration with the wider Food & Beverage team to maintain cleanliness and adhere to all safety and hygiene standards required by law.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix drinks according to prescribed recipes, ensuring proper portions.
• Account for the cash register bank, receipts, and change provided to guests.
• Keep the bar station stocked with liquor, glassware, and necessary accessories.
• Ensure the bar area is impeccably clean and groomed to standard at all times.
• Speed up or slow down service discreetly as required to maintain a positive guest environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.
• 1-2 years of work experience, with at least one year specifically in bartending and money handling.
• Knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends.
