Assistant Vocational and Technical Trainer III — County Government of Kisumu (Kisumu)

The County Government of Kisumu is recruiting Assistant Vocational and Technical Trainers III across various disciplines, including Fashion & Design, Automotive Engineering, Food & Beverages, Masonry, Plumbing, and Cosmetology. These are Permanent and Pensionable positions intended to deliver specialized training and prepare learning materials for students in vocational centers.

Role Overview

Trainers will be responsible for delivering curricula based on established standards, designing assessments, and conducting research to improve methodology. You will also supervise students during projects and industrial attachments to ensure they can apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with approved curricula.
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional aids.
  • Design and evaluate assignments and examinations to assess student competency.
  • Oversee student industrial attachments and practical projects.
  • Participate in research and innovation activities under senior guidance.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
  • Diploma in the relevant technical discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered with the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
  • Proficiency in computer applications and knowledge of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET).
