Jubilee Insurance, a leading insurance provider in East Africa, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Wellness to join their team in Nairobi, Kenya. This critical role supports the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive wellness programs like Maisha FITI, focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, and enhancing client retention through data-driven health initiatives and strict compliance with healthcare laws and regulations in the Kenyan insurance sector.
Position Summary & Impact 🎯
The Assistant Manager, Wellness collaborates with the Wellness Manager to execute key strategic initiatives aimed at improving client health and business retention. The role involves strategy development, budget support, vendor management, promotional activities, and rigorous data analysis of ailment reports to implement effective disease prevention interventions. A strong focus is placed on upholding the highest ethical standards and compliance with IRA and CMA regulations.
Key Responsibilities 🔑
- Collaborate to design, develop, and implement comprehensive wellness programs and initiatives (e.g., Maisha FITI, Jubilee Mum’s Wellness Club).
- Support budget planning, management, and resource optimization for all wellness programs.
- Analyze ailment reports for schemes and actively implement disease prevention interventions and population health programs.
- Develop effective marketing and communication strategies to promote wellness initiatives and drive client engagement.
- Manage the wellness loyalty card program, actively building relationships with Maisha FITI partners.
- Liaise and collaborate with clinical specialists, public and private healthcare stakeholders for client care coordination, especially for chronic diseases.
- Prepare accurate reports on the impact and ROI of wellness programs, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
- Uphold high ethical standards, ensuring all activities comply with AML, CFT, Data Protection laws, and relevant regulator guidelines.
Essential Qualifications & Experience 🎓
- Mandatory Requirement: Degree holder in clinical studies (Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, etc.).
- Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in wellness program management, health promotion, or corporate wellness.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of preventive healthcare, employee wellness, and behavioral health strategies, preferably within insurance or healthcare.
- Skills: Proficiency in collecting and analyzing wellness-related data to assess program effectiveness.
- Compliance: Basic understanding of insurance concepts and strict adherence to healthcare laws and regulations (IRA, CMA).
- Technology: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and packages.
