Role Overview 🎯
The Artificial Technology Intern will provide essential support in developing and applying AI- or automation-based tools to crucial climate finance and transparency projects. Responsibilities will heavily involve using technologies like Power Platform, NLP, and Machine Learning to extract insights, automate tasks, develop data visualizations, and contribute to technical briefs and knowledge products focused on national GHG inventory systems and climate data platforms.
Key Responsibilities 🔑
- Support the drafting of GEF-9 concept notes and CBIT Project Identification Forms (PIFs) using AI- or automation-based tools.
- Apply technologies such as Power Platform, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Machine Learning (ML) to extract insights and automate tasks.
- Develop clear data visualizations and dashboards to support project design and monitoring efforts.
- Research and document emerging applications of AI and automation in climate transparency, mitigation, and project development.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical briefs, presentations, and vital knowledge products.
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions to explore innovative uses of AI in GHG inventory and MRV frameworks.
- Support the organization of virtual consultations, webinars, and workshops with key stakeholders and experts.
- Assist with comprehensive documentation and follow-up of project development milestones.
Qualifications & Experience 🎓
- Academic Status (Option 1): Enrolled in, or having completed, a graduate school programme (Master’s or higher) in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or Environmental Science.
- Academic Status (Option 2): Enrolled in, or having completed, the final academic year of a first university degree (Bachelor’s minimum) in a related field with demonstrated experience or coursework in AI and automation tool applications.
- Programme Requirement: Must be a student in the final year, Master’s, Ph.D. Programme, or have recently completed the relevant degree.
- Special Skills: A field of study closely related to AI/data science and environmental science is required.
