Administration Intern, Transnational Organized Crime and Illicit Trafficking Programme for Eastern Africa
Role Overview
This unpaid internship supports procurement and general administration for a programme team. The work includes vendor research, procurement planning support, documentation follow-up, and coordination support for trainings and workshops.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify vendors and support sourcing
- Support vendor database management to ensure full vendor registration
- Follow up on purchase order liquidations and related documentation
- Support development of the procurement plan
- Assist with mandatory vendor evaluations and related records
- Assist in preparation of procurement budgets and inputs for shopping cart creation
- Prepare partner letters for calls for nominations
- Support training workshops, including development of training materials and merchandise
- Follow up with vendors and participants on banking details and HR mini master forms
- Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor within programme scope
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate programme (second university degree or higher), or
- Enrolled in or recently completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree)
- Computer literacy in standard software applications
- Demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to UN ideals
- Ability to work with people of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs with openness and respect
