Accounts Receivable Specialist

Role Overview

The financial health of our logistics and meat distribution network depends on the accuracy of our cash inflows and the efficiency of our collection cycles. We need a specialist to solve the problem of delayed payments by streamlining the entire A/R process from invoicing to reconciliation. Your challenge will be to ensure that every transaction is captured with precision in the Xero system while resolving discrepancies before they impact our monthly close. By identifying friction points in our current collections strategy and applying methodical fixes, you will provide the leadership team with the insightful reporting needed to maintain a high-growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve payment bottlenecks by overseeing the complete Accounts Receivable cycle with a focus on timely collections.
  • Eliminate data errors by reconciling daily cash flows and ensuring all transactions match bank statements.
  • Solve reporting gaps by producing weekly and monthly analysis on debtor aging and collection performance.
  • Support the finance team during month-end closures to ensure compliance with all internal policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in the invoicing cycle to keep pace with our expanding market share.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to resolve client billing disputes and maintain professional account status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA/CPA) and current ICPAK membership.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume finance environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under strict financial deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Xero Accounting software is a significant advantage.
