Accounting Internship — Newbridge Connect (Nairobi)

Role Overview
Working directly under the finance team, you will assist in keeping the company’s fiscal records organized and accurate. This is a foundational role designed to build your proficiency in Kenyan tax compliance and professional bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily data entry for invoices, receipts, and general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of financial schedules and monthly reporting summaries
- Track accounts payable and perform follow-ups on outstanding receivables
- Maintain a structured filing system for both digital and physical financial documents
- Support the team with KRA compliance tasks, including VAT and PAYE filings
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or final year student in a Bachelor of Accounting or Finance program
- Solid grasp of bookkeeping principles and the full accounting cycle
- Competency in Excel formulas and spreadsheet management
- Prior exposure to QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a major plus
- High level of discretion and professional integrity when handling sensitive data
